The Sun does not spin like a solid ball. At the equator it takes only 26 days to make a full rotation. However, near the poles, it takes nearly 34 days to go full circle! This is called differential rotation. |

Places at different latitudes would have different length days. So if you wanted to visit relatives in Australia without suffering jet-lag you would just have to wait until the differential rotation made Europe and Australia line up on the same longitude, and quickly fly south!
