Why do they have wings?

Fireflies have wings because only the magnetic field lines that move get hot. In the solar corona heat energy can only travel along magnetic field lines and not across them. So only some special field lines appear bright in X-rays. If the magnetic field is very complicated then the bright point may have a funny shape.
