Where will the August 11th 1999 eclipse be visible?


This eclipse will be visible from many places in Europe, and in particular from parts of the UK. It is notable as being the final total solar eclipse of the millennium. That's true even if you believe, as some people do, that the new millennium doesn't start until Jan 1 2001, because there are no total eclipses anywhere in the year 2000!
