1998 Eclipse Observations The SOHO Solar Observatory supported the many ground based observers for the 1998 Eclipse. From its unique advantage point, some 1.6 Million kilometers from the Earth, and sunward of the Moon, the instruments on SOHO provided realtime data throughout the day.
