Balloon Sticking to a Wall
Stage 1: Take a balloon and rub it against your
hair.
This gives the balloon a negative charge.
Stage 2 : Move the balloon close to a wall.
The negative charges on the wall are repelled away from the
balloon and the positive charges are attracted to the balloon.
This gives a force of attraction between the balloon and wall.
Stage 3 : Let the balloon touch the wall.
The force of attraction is enough to hold the balloon
against the wall against the force of gravity.
