Bending Water.

Stage 1: Turn on a water tap so that a small steady flow of water runs out.

If too much water flows out the effect is not seen !

Stage 2 : Take a comb and rub it several times against a woolen jumper.

The comb gains a negative charge.

Stage 3 : Slowly bring the comb near the water.

The water bends towards the comb. The neutral water is attracted to the comb due to the separation of the positive and negative charges in the water.
