Variability of Solar Irradiance and Gravity Oscillations (VIRGO)

VIRGO tries to find different speeds in the Sun - for example, it measures the speed of sound inside the Sun or calculates how fast the Sun is rotating.

VIRGO works with GOLF and MDI to determine how the Sun oscillates and the effect of these oscillations on the Solar Atmosphere.
