  Sometime yesterday the SOC Socket crashed. This was concluded because the early
morning keyhole pass was not observed by CDS EGSE, although we showed we were
connected for telemetry. Also, the "tlm" program that logs CDS temperatures
was receiving "socket failure" messages from soc.  Both EGSE and "tlm" programs
were restarted, followed by fresh connections to soc. All telemetry is recoverable
from REL files or later from level zero data.

  CDS doors were opened at ~14:34 UT by TSTOL.
  A telemetry submode change from submode 5 to submode 6 occured at
~14:40 UT.  CDS is nominal after the submode change.
  CDS was rebooted starting at 15:10 UT in order to clear a parity
error.  During the reboot, the study counter was reset to 39420 due to
uncertainty about its previous value.  In addition, all three patches
were reloaded on the GIS.  The reboot was completed at 17:00 UT and
the science plan will resume at 18:30 UT.  
  CDS was added to the ESR warning flag list at 17:31 UT.
