DAY PLAN: Science Operations COMMENTS: ============================================================================= DATE:28-July-2001 DOY: 209 OPERATIONS ENGINEER(S): C. Maroney / R. Yurow SCIENTIST: E. O'Shea CDS INSTRUMENT: SOHO entered ESR at 20:33 UT due to an ACU reset. Following the ESR, the telemetry point CKCMODE read #90 indicating that CDS was still in EXE_VDS mode, instead of the expected #20 (STANDBY mode). Cause of this anomaly was attibuted to the CDHS locking up when the S/C switch into its low-rate telmetry mode following the ESR. S/C substitution heaters were enabled for CDS at ~23:45 UT. CDS GROUND SYSTEM: Nominal. DAY PLAN: Science Operations, Thermal Monitoring COMMENTS: ============================================================================= DATE:29-July-2001 DOY: 210 OPERATIONS ENGINEER(S): C. Maroney / R. Yurow SCIENTIST: E. O'Shea CDS INSTRUMENT: A sequence of commands was uploaded to in order to insure that CDS was in STANDBY mode and that the doors were shut. Prior to uploading the commands, the IWS command rate was switched back to its nominal value of 1/3 s. The initial command sent to CDS caused an OBDH toggle bit error indicating that CDS was not receiving commands. Following a hard reset of CDS, commands were sucessfully sent to the instrument. CDS was then placed in STANDBY mode and it was verified that CDS doors were already closed. CDS GROUND SYSTEM: Nominal. DAY PLAN: Thermal Monitoring. COMMENTS: ============================================================================= DATE:30-July-2001 DOY: 211 OPERATIONS ENGINEER(S): C. Maroney / R. Yurow SCIENTIST: T. Winter CDS INSTRUMENT: Commands were sent to CDS to distribute the LOBT to the instrument and to enable the CDHS primary memory dump. CDS remains nominal in STANDBY mode with temperatures stable. CDS GROUND SYSTEM: Nominal. DAY PLAN: Thermal Monitoring COMMENTS: ============================================================================= DATE:31-July-2001 DOY: 212 OPERATIONS ENGINEER(S): C. Maroney / R. Yurow SCIENTIST: T. Winter CDS INSTRUMENT: S/C substitution heaters for CDS were disabled at 18:55 UT in preparation for instrument recovery. The CDHS was rebooted using the CB3RESET command and recovered back to READY_BOTH. Recovery operations were completed at 20:29 UT. CDS GROUND SYSTEM: Nominal.
