November 1999============================================================================= DATE: 01-Nov-1999 DOY: 305 OPERATIONS ENGINEER(S): R. Yurow SCIENTIST: J. Brosius CDS INSTRUMENT: CTM31 continued to flag YELLOW high intermittently. GIS detector 1 was reenabled at 16:06 UT A telemetry submode transition from submode 4 (CDS low rate) to submode 5 (CDS medium rate) occurred at 20:12 UT. CDS was brought down to SNOOZE mode at 21:12 in order to reload all CDHS patches (it was decided that this necessary due to possible complications from the recovery on DOY 303). The CDHS memory was then cleared and all CDHS patches were reloaded from the ground. The CDS recovery was completed at 00:17 UT DOY 305 and science plan resumed at 02:00 UT DOY 305. CDS GROUND SYSTEM: Nominal. DAY PLAN: Science Operations. COMMENTS: ============================================================================= DATE: 02-Nov-1999 DOY: 306 OPERATIONS ENGINEER(S): R. Yurow SCIENTIST: J. Brosius CDS INSTRUMENT: GIS detector 3 tripped at 2:01 UT. Apparent cause of the trip was high curent as the MCP voltage was switched from 1.0 KV to 2.0 KV. Detector 3 was reset at 17:40 UT. The detector was disabled at 23:14 UT pending further investigation. A parity error in the primary processor memory space was detected. Since the parity error is in a safe location, no reboot is necessary. CDS GROUND SYSTEM: Nominal. DAY PLAN: Science Operations. COMMENTS: ============================================================================= DATE: 03-Nov-1999 DOY: 307 OPERATIONS ENGINEER(S): R. Yurow SCIENTIST: J. Brosius CDS INSTRUMENT: A parity error occurred in the primary processor memory space. Since the parity error is in an unused location, no reboot is necessary. The GIS was reset at 00:00 UT DOY 308 and all three patches were reloaded the bring the software up to version 2.6. Following the reset, GIS detector 3 high voltage tests were conducted.
